Your conversations, ready for your agent

Saransh Local MCP lets Cursor and Claude Desktop search and read Conversations recorded on your Mac. It is off by default, uses a read-only database connection, and never exposes Quick Dictation.

Set up

1. Open Saransh → Settings → Agents.
2. Turn off Keep content on this Mac in Settings → AI if enabled, then enable Allow local MCP for agents.
3. Select the Conversations you want to share and use Preview to inspect the available text.
4. Select Copy MCP config and add it to your agent client.
5. Reload the client, then ask it to list your recent Saransh conversations.

Try asking

• “Find the conversation where we discussed the authentication migration and summarize the decision.”
• “Review my conversations from this week and draft a project status update.”
• “Extract open action items from conversations mentioning onboarding.”
• “Compare what we decided in the first design review with the latest one.”

Ask the agent to search first and fetch only relevant conversations for smaller, more private context.

Read-only tools

• list_notes — recent Conversation metadata and previews
• search_notes — title, transcript, and AI-note search
• get_note — a Conversation with transcript, AI notes, dates, and speakers
• get_transcript — only a selected transcript
• get_ai_notes — only selected AI notes

List and search support bounded results and optional ISO-8601 date ranges.

Chapter generation adds a normal AI note to the Conversation. That text, including quoted evidence, can be retrieved when you share the Conversation. Its internal source links are navigation references for Saransh, not publicly accessible links or audio attachments. Deleting audio does not revoke access to text you have shared; use the sharing controls to revoke future MCP access.

Deselect a Conversation, choose Revoke all, or disable sharing to block subsequent requests in existing and new sessions. Previously retrieved text cannot be recalled.

Privacy boundaries

Saransh opens its local Conversations database in SQLite read-only mode and communicates with the client over stdio. It exposes no write, delete, enhancement, or recording tools. Retained and recoverable audio, Quick Dictation, API keys, license data, calendar contents, and unrelated files are not available through MCP.

The local connection does not limit downstream sharing. Your agent client may send retrieved text to the model provider configured in that client, so review the client's privacy settings before using sensitive Conversations.
